For anyone who’s ever wondered if they can pull off a head-to-toe golden velvet suit, the answer, surprisingly, is YES!
I was so intrigued when I saw this look on Juliet Angus. “Velvet for Fall” can come off as cliché, but done in an unexpected color and suited up like this it feels fresh and cool!
In case you need more convincing… something about this golden-y mustard-y hue really makes your skin glow. It’s a moody twist on Gen Z yellow and I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, but I’m into it!!
Tailoring is so key for this look! The cut of this Eloquii velvet wrap jacket is perfect and the adjustable sash lets you get the fit just how you want it. With a wide leg pant, a perfectly fitted jacket like this is a must. FYI I’m wearing a size 16 jacket and went up to an 18 in the pants.
A simple nude heel, structured bag and sunnies are all you need to finish it off. I would wear this to meetings, out for dinner, even to a holiday party. I think it’s an unexpected, cool, versatile Fall/Winter look – what do you think? Thanks Juliet for the inspo!!
