What I Wore: NYFW

I know I’m not the only one, but I love New York Fashion Week in September. It really is so inspiring! I can’t turn off the voice in my head shouting, It’s a new season! Live your dreams! Annoying, I know.

After a summer spent begrudgingly in caftans and swimsuits (lol), there’s something refreshing about putting an actual outfit together (even if it still feels like pool weather). And there’s nothing better than checking out what everyone else is wearing on the streets and at the shows – it’s my favorite way to start fall shopping in my head.

So the big question is when fall is in the air, but let’s be real summer is too, what are you supposed to wear?

For the Karen Walker show, I went with one of her new midi dresses because it was cool (literally and figuratively), statement-y and I’m obsessed with the pattern! I feel amazing in this dress and can tell I’m about to wear it too much.

At another show I highlighted accessories, mixing a classic Chanel bag with my favorite trendy new Kendall Jenner-inspired sneakers. My go-to Eileen Fisher romper was the perfect black backdrop for a look that screamed either Chic Fashion Person or Rich Nurse (you tell me!).

Of course, Fashion Week wouldn’t be complete without getting a little quirky. Cue my Minion iPhone case, Sophie Hulme pom pom charm and the best nails ever. Because matching your bag to your shoes is still a no-no but matching your bag to your nails is a MUST.

There you go, a couple stylish (I hope!) and comfy looks hot off the press from NYFW, plus some crazy nails. What’s your favorite?
